HomeOp

Terms of Service

Effective date: May 28, 2026. Last updated: May 28, 2026.

Welcome to HomeOp. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are the agreement between you and the Developer for your use of the HomeOp app. Please read them carefully. By downloading or using HomeOp, you agree to these Terms.

Plain language summary: HomeOp helps you organize household information, with help from an artificial intelligence assistant. The assistant can make mistakes, so always verify anything important. HomeOp does not provide medical, legal, financial, or tax advice. The app is provided as is, and your use of it is at your own discretion.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing or using HomeOp, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and able to form a binding contract, to use HomeOp. By using the app you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. License

Subject to these Terms, the Developer grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use HomeOp on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial household use, and in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service. This license does not transfer any ownership of the app to you.

4. The assistant and accuracy

HomeOp uses artificial intelligence to read your documents, organize information, generate summaries, and respond to your questions. Artificial intelligence can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date, and may misread documents or dates.

5. Your content and responsibilities

You retain ownership of the documents and information you add to HomeOp ("Your Content"). You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the right to store it. You agree that you will not use HomeOp to store or process content that is unlawful, that infringes the rights of others, or that you are not authorized to possess. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important information.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Subscriptions and billing

Certain features of HomeOp require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through your Apple account, and we use a third-party provider to manage and validate entitlements.

8. Intellectual property

The app, including its design, software, text, graphics, and the HomeOp name and branding, is owned by the Developer and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license granted to you, no rights are transferred to you. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app.

9. Third-party services

HomeOp relies on third-party services, including Apple, xAI, RevenueCat, and Cloudflare, to function. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and the Developer is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or policies of any third party.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

11. Limitation of liability

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Developer from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to your use of the app, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or the rights of a third party.

13. Termination

You may stop using HomeOp at any time by deleting the app. The Developer may suspend or terminate your access to the app or its features at any time if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the service or its users. The sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State in which the Developer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app will be resolved in the courts located in that state, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have as a consumer.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of HomeOp after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.
